Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CPT1C (Carnitine Palmitoyltransferase 1C) is a mitochondrial enzyme that plays a crucial role in fatty acid metabolism by facilitating the transport of long-chain fatty acids into mitochondria for β-oxidation. Unlike its isoforms CPT1A and CPT1B, which are primarily expressed in the liver and muscle, respectively, CPT1C is predominantly found in the brain and is believed to have a significant role in neuronal metabolism and homeostasis. Recent studies have highlighted its involvement in various physiological processes, including energy production, synaptic function, and the regulation of lipid metabolism in the central nervous system. Abnormal expression or activity of CPT1C has been linked to certain neurological disorders and metabolic diseases, making it a potential target for therapeutic interventions. Additionally, the characterization of recombinant CPT1C is essential for understanding its structure-function relationship, enzyme kinetics, and interactions with various substrates and inhibitors. This research not only aids in elucidating the functional role of CPT1C in brain metabolism but also contributes to the development of strategies aimed at modulating its activity for clinical applications. As such, recombinant CPT1C is increasingly studied in vitro to investigate its biochemical properties and potential relevance in health and disease.
