Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GYS2, or glycogen synthase 2, is a key enzyme involved in glycogen synthesis, primarily expressed in liver and skeletal muscles. Its regulation is crucial for maintaining glucose homeostasis and energy metabolism. Research into GYS2 has gained attention due to its potential implications in metabolic disorders, such as diabetes and obesity. Mutations or dysfunctions in GYS2 can lead to glycogen storage diseases, impacting overall health. The recombinant expression of GYS2 protein allows for detailed biochemical studies, facilitating the exploration of its structural properties, enzymatic activity, and regulatory mechanisms. By producing GYS2 in a laboratory setting, researchers aim to elucidate its role in glycogen metabolism and its interactions with other metabolic pathways. Additionally, understanding the function of GYS2 at a molecular level could inform the development of therapeutic strategies for metabolic diseases, making it a significant target in biomedical research. Through techniques such as X-ray crystallography and enzymatic assays, scientists are investigating the protein's binding sites and catalytic functions, which might reveal novel insights into glycogen synthesis regulation and potential pharmacological interventions. Overall, GYS2 research represents a vital intersection of biochemistry, genetics, and clinical science that could have profound implications for treating metabolic health issues.
