  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

NDUFV1, a subunit of the mitochondrial NADH dehydrogenase complex (complex I), plays a crucial role in the mitochondrial electron transport chain, where it facilitates the transfer of electrons from NADH to ubiquinone. Mutations in the NDUFV1 gene have been linked to various mitochondrial diseases, characterized by a spectrum of clinical symptoms, including encephalomyopathy, cardiomyopathy, and lactic acidosis. Research into NDUFV1 recombinant proteins has gained significant attention due to their potential applications in understanding the biochemical pathways of energy metabolism and developing therapeutic strategies for mitochondrial disorders. By producing recombinant NDUFV1, scientists can study its enzymatic properties, interaction with other mitochondrial components, and the effects of specific mutations on its function. Additionally, such studies can contribute to the identification of novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets for mitochondrial diseases, advancing personalized medicine approaches. The growing interest in mitochondrial biology underscores the importance of NDUFV1 research, particularly in the context of understanding how disruptions in this protein contribute to energy metabolism disorders and exploring potential recovery avenues through gene therapy or targeted treatments.
