  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

NDUFS7, a vital component of the mitochondrial respiratory chain complex I, plays a crucial role in cellular energy production through oxidative phosphorylation. Research into NDUFS7 has gained traction due to its implication in various mitochondrial disorders, particularly those linked to complex I deficiencies. Mutations in the NDUFS7 gene can lead to severe metabolic disturbances, presenting in conditions such as Leigh syndrome and other neurodegenerative disorders characterized by impaired energy metabolism. Understanding the structure and function of the NDUFS7 protein is essential for elucidating the mechanisms of these diseases and developing potential therapeutic strategies. Recombinant NDUFS7 proteins are increasingly being utilized in biochemical studies to explore their interactions with other subunits of complex I and elucidate their role in mitochondrial function. By producing and studying recombinant forms of NDUFS7, researchers aim to investigate the protein’s stability, folding properties, and interactions within the mitochondrial matrix, which could lead to insights into the pathophysiology of associated diseases and advancements in gene therapy or enzyme replacement strategies. Overall, the study of recombinant NDUFS7 is significant for both basic mitochondrial biology and the clinical understanding of complex I-related disorders.
