Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) is a pivotal peptide hormone produced by the pituitary gland, primarily responsible for stimulating the adrenal cortex to produce cortisol, a key hormone in stress response and metabolic regulation. The study of recombinant ACTH proteins has gained significant attention due to their potential therapeutic applications in treating various disorders, including Addison's disease, Cushing's syndrome, and certain autoimmune conditions. Traditional methods of extracting and purifying ACTH from animal sources pose challenges, including variability in potency, risk of contamination, and ethical concerns. Therefore, the development of recombinant ACTH not only addresses these issues but also allows for more precise control over the hormone's production and modification. Advances in biotechnology have enabled the successful expression of ACTH in various systems, leading to the generation of bioactive forms that retain the hormone's physiological functions. Research into the structure-function relationship of ACTH has improved our understanding of its receptor interactions and the downstream signaling pathways it activates. Furthermore, recombinant ACTH holds promise for innovative drug formulations, potentially enhancing therapeutic efficacy and minimizing side effects. As the field of peptide therapeutics expands, the exploration of recombinant ACTH will likely continue to be a critical area of focus, paving the way for novel treatments that harness the hormone's biological properties for improved patient care.
