Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The Cit protein, also known as citrate synthase, plays a vital role in the citric acid cycle (Krebs cycle), a key metabolic pathway that generates energy through the oxidation of acetyl-CoA. As a homodimeric enzyme, Cit catalyzes the condensation of acetyl-CoA and oxaloacetate to form citrate, which subsequently undergoes a series of transformations to produce ATP, NADH, and FADH2, essential for cellular respiration. Research on Cit protein has gained significance due to its involvement in various cellular processes and its relationship with metabolic diseases, including obesity and diabetes. Moreover, its structural characteristics and catalytic mechanisms provide insights into enzyme efficiency and regulation, making it a target for biotechnological applications. The understanding of Cit restructuring and its interactions with other mitochondrial enzymes can lead to innovative approaches in metabolic engineering and therapeutic interventions. Recent advancements in recombinant DNA technology have enabled researchers to analyze and manipulate the Cit protein, fostering a deeper understanding of its function and potential. As scientists continue to explore the protein's structure-function relationship, they uncover critical information about its role in energy metabolism, disease pathology, and possible applications in metabolic engineering, thereby underscoring the importance of Cit proteins in both fundamental biology and applied sciences.
