Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MTMR12, a member of the myotubularin protein family, has garnered attention in biomedical research due to its significant role in cellular processes, particularly in the regulation of lipid metabolism and the endosomal-lysosomal pathway. Its mutations are implicated in various diseases, including Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, which highlights its importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and neuronal function. The protein contains a phosphoinositide-3-phosphatase domain, suggesting it plays a pivotal role in phosphoinositide metabolism, which is crucial for membrane trafficking and signal transduction. Studies have shown that MTMR12 interacts with several proteins involved in autophagy and vesicular transport, indicating its function in maintaining cellular integrity and dynamics. Given its involvement in these critical pathways, understanding the structure and function of MTMR12 through recombinant protein studies can provide insights into its biological roles and the molecular mechanisms underlying related disorders. Furthermore, therapeutic interventions targeting MTMR12 pathways could emerge, offering potential strategies for treating diseases associated with its dysfunction. Thus, the research surrounding MTMR12 recombinant protein is vital not only for elucidating its fundamental biology but also for exploring its therapeutic potential in various pathological conditions.
