Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
HPEPT1 (Human Proton-Coupled Oligopeptide Transporter 1) is a crucial protein involved in the absorption of di- and tri-peptides in the human intestine. This transporter plays a significant role in nutrient uptake, as it facilitates the transport of short peptides across the apical membrane of enterocytes. Research into HPEPT1 has gained momentum due to its relevance in various physiological and pathological processes, including nutritional metabolism, drug absorption, and potential implications in diseases such as diabetes and obesity. Additionally, HPEPT1 is a target of interest for pharmaceutical companies seeking to enhance the bioavailability of peptide-based drugs, which can often face challenges in traditional absorption pathways. The functional characterization of HPEPT1, alongside its potential for drug delivery enhancement, makes it a significant focus of study in both nutrition science and drug development fields. Understanding the structure-function relationship of this transporter, through techniques such as recombinant protein expression and functional assays, can provide insights into its transport mechanisms and regulatory pathways. Ultimately, elucidating the biological role and transport dynamics of HPEPT1 may pave the way for novel therapeutic strategies in managing diseases associated with impaired peptide transport and metabolism.
