Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ACOX2 (Acyl-CoA oxidase 2) is a key enzyme involved in the peroxisomal β-oxidation of fatty acids, playing a significant role in lipid metabolism and energy homeostasis. Dysregulation of ACOX2 has been linked to various metabolic disorders, including obesity and diabetes, making it a target of interest in the study of metabolic diseases. The enzyme catalyzes the first step of the β-oxidation pathway, converting acyl-CoA substrates into enoyl-CoA, with hydrogen peroxide as a byproduct. Understanding the structure and function of ACOX2 could provide insights into the mechanisms governing fatty acid oxidation and its implications for metabolic health. Recent advances in recombinant protein technology have enabled the production of ACOX2 in heterologous systems, which facilitates detailed biochemical characterization and functional analysis. By studying the recombinant form of ACOX2, researchers aim to elucidate its enzymatic properties, substrate specificity, and regulation. This knowledge has the potential to contribute to the development of therapeutic strategies for metabolic disorders and enhance our understanding of cellular energy metabolism. As such, ACOX2 represents a promising focal point for research into the intricacies of lipid metabolism and its broader implications for human health.
