Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CNTNAP5, a member of the neurexin superfamily, encodes a protein that plays a crucial role in the development and maintenance of neuronal connections. Research has shown that CNTNAP5 is involved in synapse formation and functionality, influencing processes such as cognitive development and neurological behavior. Its importance is highlighted by its association with neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorders and schizophrenia, making it a significant focus for understanding both typical and atypical neural circuitry. The study of recombinant CNTNAP5 protein has gained momentum, as it offers valuable insights into protein structure-function relationships and potential therapeutic targets. By producing and characterizing this recombinant protein, researchers aim to elucidate its role in cell adhesion and signaling pathways within the central nervous system. Understanding the mechanisms by which CNTNAP5 influences neural connectivity could pave the way for novel interventions in neural pathologies, underscoring its relevance in both basic neuroscience and clinical applications. Consequently, the investigation of CNTNAP5 not only enhances our comprehension of neural networks but also opens avenues for addressing the underlying causes of complex neurodevelopmental conditions.
