Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GPD2 (Glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase 2) is a key enzyme involved in the glycerol phosphate shuttle, which plays a crucial role in energy metabolism and cellular signaling. It catalyzes the conversion of dihydroxyacetone phosphate to glycerol-3-phosphate, thus linking carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. Dysregulation of GPD2 has been implicated in various metabolic disorders, including obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. As researchers focus on metabolic pathways for therapeutic interventions, the study of GPD2 and its recombinant protein has gained significant attention. Recombinant GPD2 offers insights into its enzymatic properties, regulation, and interactions with other metabolic pathways. Understanding the structure and function of GPD2 can aid in developing targeted treatments for metabolic diseases and contribute to advancements in biotechnological applications, including metabolic engineering and synthetic biology. The ongoing research aims to elucidate GPD2's role in energy homeostasis and its potential as a therapeutic target, making it a vital area of study in modern biochemistry and molecular biology.
