Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PLA2G12, or Phospholipase A2 Group XII, is a member of the phospholipase A2 enzyme family, which plays a critical role in lipid metabolism and inflammatory responses. This enzyme is known for its ability to hydrolyze phospholipids, leading to the release of arachidonic acid and lysolipids, key mediators in various biological processes such as cell signaling, inflammation, and cellular membrane dynamics. Research has highlighted PLA2G12's involvement in pathophysiological conditions, including cardiovascular diseases and cancer, where its enzymatic activity may modulate tumor progression and metastasis. The recombinant production of PLA2G12 allows for detailed functional studies and potential therapeutic applications, including the development of inhibitors or modulators that could influence its activity in disease contexts. Additionally, the study of this protein could provide insights into the enzymatic mechanisms underlying lipid signaling pathways, contributing to a greater understanding of cell biology and the development of targeted interventions in associated diseases. Overall, PLA2G12 represents a significant focus of research due to its biological relevance and potential as a therapeutic target, calling for ongoing investigations into its structure, function, and clinical implications.
