Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MLPH (Melanophilin) is a protein that plays a crucial role in the regulation of melanosome transport, which is essential for pigmentation in various organisms. The study of MLPH, particularly in the context of its role in the transport and distribution of melanosomes within melanocytes, has significant implications for understanding pigmentation disorders and skin diseases. MLPH interacts with several other proteins, including myosin Va and Rab27a, to facilitate the movement of melanosomes along the actin cytoskeleton. Deficiencies or mutations in MLPH are associated with abnormalities in melanin distribution, leading to conditions such as oculocutaneous albinism. In recent years, advances in molecular biology techniques have enabled researchers to explore the structural and functional aspects of MLPH more thoroughly, paving the way for the development of recombinant MLPH proteins. Such proteins can be utilized for functional assays, aiding in the understanding of the mechanistic pathways governing melanosome transport and their regulation. Moreover, the production of MLPH recombinant proteins offers promising avenues for therapeutic interventions in pigmentation disorders and may enhance our overall comprehension of cytoskeletal dynamics and intracellular transport mechanisms in various cellular contexts. The ongoing research into MLPH and its interactions not only contributes to the field of molecular biology but also holds potential for translational applications in cosmetic and medical dermatology.
