  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Fan1, a member of the FANCM family of proteins, plays a crucial role in the Fanconi anemia (FA) pathway, which is essential for maintaining genomic stability by repairing DNA interstrand cross-links. Research into Fan1 has gained prominence due to its pivotal function in cellular response to DNA damage, particularly in the context of cancer biology and hereditary disorders. Mutations in FA pathway components, including Fan1, have been linked to increased susceptibility to certain cancers and developmental abnormalities, highlighting the importance of understanding their mechanisms. Recent studies suggest that Fan1 not only contributes to the repair of damaged DNA but also interacts with various other proteins involved in DNA damage response, suggesting a complex regulatory network. Furthermore, the exploration of Fan1's structure and function can provide insights into therapeutic targets for cancer treatment, especially for tumors exhibiting defects in DNA repair pathways. As researchers delve deeper into the molecular dynamics of Fan1, its potential implications in precision medicine and gene therapy become increasingly relevant, presenting opportunities for novel interventions in FA-related malignancies. Understanding Fan1's role could pave the way for advancements in treatments that leverage the shortcomings of cancer cell DNA repair mechanisms.
