Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The recT protein is a key player in the process of homologous recombination, a critical mechanism for DNA repair and genetic diversity in bacteria. Initially discovered in *Escherichia coli*, recT is known for its role in facilitating the recombination of single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) with homologous double-stranded DNA (dsDNA). This protein operates by promoting the annealing of ssDNA to complementary dsDNA, thereby ensuring proper repair of DNA damage and maintaining genomic stability. Research into recT has gained momentum due to its potential applications in biotechnology and medicine, particularly in the fields of gene therapy, genome editing, and the development of novel antimicrobial strategies. The ability of recT to enhance recombination efficiency makes it a valuable tool for constructing genetic alterations in various organisms. Furthermore, understanding the molecular mechanisms and structural characteristics of recT can provide insights into the evolution of recombination processes and the adaptability of bacterial species. Studies have also explored the interaction between recT and other proteins involved in the recombination and repair pathways, highlighting its central role in the complex network of DNA maintenance. Given the increasing interest in genetic engineering, elucidating the functions and properties of recT not only contributes to fundamental microbiological research but also paves the way for innovative applications in synthetic biology and therapeutic interventions.
