Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PANK1 (pantothenate kinase 1) is a crucial enzyme that plays a significant role in the biosynthesis of coenzyme A (CoA), which is vital for various metabolic processes, including fatty acid synthesis and the metabolism of carbohydrates and amino acids. Mutations in the PANK1 gene have been associated with neurodegenerative disorders, particularly the neurodegeneration with brain iron accumulation type 4 (NBIA4). Research into PANK1 recombinant proteins has gained traction due to their potential for therapeutic applications and the elucidation of the biochemical pathways it influences. The recombinant production of PANK1 allows for in-depth studies of its enzymatic activity, structural characterization, and interactions with inhibitors or substrates. Understanding the structure-function relationship of PANK1 through recombinant proteins can provide insights into its role in disease mechanisms and pave the way for the development of targeted therapies for conditions linked to PANK1 deficiency or dysfunction. Furthermore, as metabolic disorders continue to rise globally, PANK1, as a component of metabolic regulation, represents a promising target for innovative treatment strategies. The study of PANK1 recombinant proteins thus holds significant potential for advancing our knowledge of both metabolism and neurodegenerative diseases.
