Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PADI1, or Protein Arginine Deiminase Type 1, is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in the post-translational modification of proteins through a process known as deimination, wherein arginine residues are converted into citrulline. This modification can significantly alter protein function, stability, and interactions, influencing various physiological and pathological processes. Research on PADI1 has gained momentum due to its involvement in several autoimmune diseases, particularly rheumatoid arthritis, where its activity can lead to the formation of citrullinated proteins that trigger autoantibody responses. Additionally, PADI1 has been implicated in neuronal function and may play a role in neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer’s disease, where altered protein deimination may contribute to the disease's pathology. Understanding the regulation and mechanisms of action of PADI1 is vital for uncovering its potential as a therapeutic target. Investigations into its expression patterns, structure-function relationships, and interactions with other proteins are advancing our comprehension of its biological significance and may pave the way for novel interventions in diseases linked to dysregulated deiminase activity. As research progresses, PADI1 is poised to be a key focus in understanding the complexities of post-translational modifications and their implications in health and disease.
