Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Platelet-derived growth factor-BB (PDGF-BB) is a crucial dimeric form of the platelet-derived growth factor family, which plays a significant role in various biological processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and tissue repair. It specifically exerts its effects through binding to the PDGF receptor (PDGFR), which initiates signaling pathways influencing cell behavior. Research on PDGF-BB has gained attention due to its implications in numerous pathological conditions, including cancer, fibrosis, and cardiovascular diseases, where its overexpression or dysfunction can lead to adverse effects. Moreover, PDGF-BB is involved in angiogenesis, making it a target of interest in regenerative medicine and wound healing strategies. The development of recombinant PDGF-BB proteins has paved the way for potential therapeutic applications, enabling controlled delivery and enhancement of healing processes in damaged tissues. Understanding the structural properties and biological activities of PDGF-BB can facilitate the design of novel therapies aimed at modulating its signaling pathways, thereby providing innovative approaches in treating diseases linked to abnormal cell proliferation and tissue remodeling. Overall, the study of PDGF-BB recombinant proteins holds significant promise for advancing therapeutic options in regenerative medicine and disease management.
