Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of ANO2 (anoctamin-2), a member of the anoctamin family of proteins, has garnered significant attention due to its importance in various physiological processes and potential implications in disease mechanisms. ANO2 is a calcium-activated chloride channel predominantly expressed in the respiratory and gastrointestinal tracts, as well as in certain neurons, where it plays a critical role in epithelial ion transport, secretory functions, and sensory signaling. Understanding the structural and functional characteristics of ANO2 is pivotal for elucidating its role in maintaining electrolyte balance and cellular homeostasis. Research has shown that alterations in ANO2 function can contribute to several pathological conditions, including cystic fibrosis, asthma, and certain types of cancer, making it a potential therapeutic target. The reconstitution of ANO2 as a recombinant protein allows for detailed biochemical and biophysical studies to uncover its channel properties and regulatory mechanisms. This approach can facilitate the design of specific inhibitors or activators that could serve as valuable tools in both research and clinical settings. Overall, the investigation of ANO2 and its recombinant forms is essential for advancing our understanding of its biological functions and the development of strategies to address related health issues.
