  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

EXO1, or Exonuclease 1, is a critical enzyme involved in DNA repair and replication processes, specifically functioning in the recognition and processing of DNA double-strand breaks and single-strand DNA. Research into EXO1 has gained significant traction due to its potential implications in cancer biology, where its deficiency or aberrant activity can lead to genomic instability and tumorigenesis. Additionally, EXO1 plays a vital role in the MMR (Mismatch Repair) pathway, which is important for maintaining genomic fidelity during cell division. The recombinant expression of EXO1 protein allows researchers to study its biochemical properties, interaction with other DNA repair proteins, and role in various cellular processes under controlled experimental conditions. Understanding the structure and function of EXO1 not only provides insights into fundamental DNA repair mechanisms but also aids in the development of targeted therapies for cancers that exhibit defects in these pathways. Recent studies have emphasized the importance of post-translational modifications of EXO1 in regulating its activity and interactions, highlighting the need for detailed investigations into the recombinant protein's functional assays. By generating high-purity EXO1 recombinant protein, scientists can explore its enzymatic activity, substrate specificity, and the impact of mutations commonly found in cancerous tissues. Overall, research on EXO1 recombinant protein is pivotal in elucidating its roles in genomic maintenance and its potential as a therapeutic target in cancers associated with DNA repair deficiencies.
