  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

NFKBIA, also known as IκBα, plays a crucial role in the regulation of the NF-κB signaling pathway, which is essential for various physiological processes such as immune response, inflammation, and cell survival. Under normal conditions, NFKBIA binds to NF-κB dimers, sequestering them in the cytoplasm and preventing their translocation to the nucleus. However, in response to various stimuli, such as pro-inflammatory cytokines or stress signals, NFKBIA is subjected to phosphorylation and subsequent proteasomal degradation, allowing NF-κB to translocate to the nucleus and initiate transcription of target genes. Abnormal regulation of NFKBIA and NF-κB signaling has been implicated in numerous diseases, including cancer, autoimmune disorders, and chronic inflammatory conditions. Consequently, understanding the structural and functional properties of recombinant NFKBIA protein has become critical for elucidating its role in these pathological processes and for developing potential therapeutic interventions. The production and characterization of recombinant NFKBIA facilitate the investigation of its interactions with NF-κB and its post-translational modifications, providing insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying NF-κB activation. Moreover, the recombinant protein could serve as a valuable tool for studying drug interactions or the effects of various compounds that influence the NF-κB pathway, ultimately leading to advancements in targeted therapies and a better understanding of the intricate balance between pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory signaling in human health and disease.
