Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
EGFL8 (Epidermal Growth Factor Like 8) is a member of the epidermal growth factor (EGF) family, playing a pivotal role in various biological processes, including cell growth, survival, and differentiation. Research on EGFL8 has gained momentum due to its potential implications in cancer biology, particularly concerning tumor progression and metastasis. Elevated levels of EGFL8 have been associated with aggressive tumor phenotypes in several cancers, indicating that it may serve as a biomarker for cancer prognosis. Additionally, studies have suggested that EGFL8 may influence angiogenesis and the tumor microenvironment, further highlighting its importance in tumor biology. Recent advances in recombinant protein technology have enabled the purification and characterization of EGFL8, paving the way for in-depth functional studies. Understanding the mechanistic pathways through which EGFL8 operates may uncover novel therapeutic targets, offering new avenues for cancer treatment. The exploration of EGFL8 as a recombinant protein not only assists in elucidating its biological functions but also enhances our grasp on the complexities of cancer progression. Consequently, ongoing research into the EGFL8 protein is poised to contribute significantly to the fields of cancer therapy and biomarker discovery, potentially leading to innovative strategies for managing cancer and improving patient outcomes.
