  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Recombinant LGI4 protein has garnered significant attention in the field of neuroscience due to its role in synaptic function and development. LGI4, or Leucine-rich glioma-inactivated protein 4, is a member of the LGI protein family, which has been implicated in various neurological conditions, including epilepsy and developmental disorders. Studies have shown that LGI4 interacts with the presynaptic protein ADAM22 and is essential for the maturation of glutamatergic synapses, thereby influencing neurotransmission. Moreover, disruptions in LGI4 function or expression have been linked to the pathophysiology of certain epilepsy syndromes, highlighting its importance as a potential therapeutic target. Research efforts have focused on the characterization of recombinant LGI4 protein to elucidate its molecular mechanisms and explore its potential in regenerative medicine and therapeutic interventions for neurological diseases. Understanding LGI4's role at the synapse could provide insights into synaptic plasticity and neuroprotection, paving the way for innovative approaches in treating synaptic dysfunction-related disorders. Additionally, recombinant LGI4 has been utilized in various experimental models, offering a platform for studying its interactions and functional implications in cellular and animal systems. This research is crucial for developing targeted therapies that aim to restore normal synaptic function in affected individuals.
