Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
LGI2 (Leucine-rich glioma-inactivated 2) is a member of the leucine-rich repeat protein family, which plays significant roles in synaptic function and neurodevelopment. Research has highlighted its involvement in neurological conditions, particularly its association with epilepsy and other neural disorders. LGI2 functions as a secreted protein that interacts with other proteins, such as ADAM22 and ADAM23, which are crucial for neuronal signaling and synapse formation. Understanding the structure and function of LGI2 is essential for elucidating its role in the nervous system and its potential implications in diseases. The recombinant production of LGI2 protein enables in-depth studies of its molecular interactions and functional properties, facilitating the exploration of its therapeutic potential. By enabling detailed characterization of LGI2, researchers aim to uncover its mechanisms in neurodevelopmental processes and assess its viability as a target for drug development in treating neurological disorders. This body of work not only advances our understanding of LGI2 but also contributes to the broader field of neuroscience, where insights gained could lead to innovative approaches in managing epilepsy and related conditions.
