The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

MOAP1 (modulator of apoptosis 1) is a critical protein involved in the regulation of apoptosis, the process of programmed cell death. It functions as a pro-apoptotic factor by interacting with various signaling pathways, notably through its association with the apoptosis regulator proteins such as Bcl-2 family members. Research on MOAP1 has gained significance due to its potential implications in cancer biology, where its altered expression may contribute to tumorigenesis and resistance to chemotherapy. As a member of the BH3-only protein family, MOAP1 is known to promote cell death in response to several stress signals, highlighting its role in maintaining cellular homeostasis. Moreover, MOAP1's involvement in other cellular processes, including autophagy and inflammatory responses, further underscores its importance in health and disease. Given these functions, the study of MOAP1 and the development of recombinant MOAP1 proteins could provide insights into therapeutic strategies aimed at enhancing apoptosis in cancer cells or modulating the apoptotic response in other diseases. By characterizing the structure and function of this protein, researchers hope to elucidate the mechanisms underlying its pro-apoptotic activity and explore its potential as a target for drug development. Recombinant MOAP1 proteins can be utilized in various assays to better understand its interactions and regulatory pathways, paving the way for innovative treatments that leverage the apoptotic machinery. Overall, the ongoing investigation into MOAP1 reaffirms its relevance in the field of biomedical research, especially in the context of cancer therapy and apoptosis modulation.
