Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of bCMO1 (beta-carotene 15,15'-monoxygenase 1) recombinant protein is rooted in its crucial role in carotenoid metabolism, particularly in converting beta-carotene into retinoids, which are essential for vision, growth, and immune function. As a key enzyme in the metabolic pathway, bCMO1 facilitates the bioactivation of dietary carotenoids, influencing the efficiency of vitamin A synthesis. Research has highlighted that genetic variations in the bCMO1 gene can significantly affect individuals' carotenoid absorption and metabolism, potentially impacting nutritional status and health outcomes. Furthermore, bCMO1 has gained attention in studies exploring the relationships between carotenoid intake, oxidative stress, and chronic diseases. The production of bCMO1 as a recombinant protein enables researchers to investigate its functional properties, enzymatic mechanisms, and interaction with other metabolic pathways in more depth. This can lead to a better understanding of its role in nutrition and disease prevention, providing valuable insights for developing dietary interventions and functional foods rich in carotenoids. Overall, the exploration of bCMO1 recombinant protein represents a significant intersection of biochemistry, nutrition, and health sciences.
