Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PCSK2, or proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 2, is a crucial serine protease involved in the post-translational processing of prohormones, influencing a variety of physiological processes, including glucose metabolism and appetite regulation. Aberrant function of PCSK2 has been implicated in various metabolic disorders, including diabetes and obesity, as it plays a key role in the activation of proinsulin and other peptide hormones. Understanding the structure and function of PCSK2 through recombinant protein studies offers insights into its enzymatic mechanisms and interaction with substrates. Researchers aim to elucidate its active sites and regulatory elements, which can potentially lead to the development of therapeutic strategies targeting metabolic diseases. Furthermore, PCSK2's involvement in neuroendocrine signaling pathways suggests that its recombinant protein could also serve as a valuable tool for studying neurodegenerative conditions and further broaden our understanding of protein processing pathways in health and disease. As a result, the investigation of PCSK2 recombinant protein is not only significant for basic research but also holds promise for clinical applications in the realms of endocrinology and metabolic health.
