Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
KRTAP10-2, also known as keratin-associated protein 10-2, is part of the keratin-associated protein (KRTAP) family, which plays crucial roles in the structural integrity and functionality of hair and other keratin-containing tissues. Research into KRTAP10-2 has gained prominence due to its potential involvement in various hair disorders and its relevance in understanding hair follicle biology. This protein contributes to the unique properties of intermediate filaments in hair, influencing characteristics such as tensile strength and elasticity. Mutations or dysregulation of KRTAP genes, including KRTAP10-2, have been implicated in conditions like monilethrix and hypotrichosis, leading scientists to investigate its molecular mechanisms further. Understanding KRTAP10-2 at a molecular level could provide insights into the genetic basis of these disorders and may have implications for the development of therapeutic strategies aimed at restoring normal hair growth and health. Moreover, the recombinant production of KRTAP10-2 allows for in-depth functional studies and potential applications in biomaterials and regenerative medicine, highlighting its significance in both basic and applied research.
