Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
KRT9, or Keratin 9, is a type I keratin predominantly expressed in the skin, particularly in the palmoplantar epidermis, where it plays a crucial role in providing structural integrity and mechanical resilience. The research surrounding KRT9 is primarily focused on its function in the formation of the stratum corneum and its involvement in various skin disorders. Mutations in the KRT9 gene have been linked to several keratinization disorders, such as epidermolytic palmoplantar keratoderma, which are characterized by thickened skin on the palms and soles. Investigating KRT9 recombinant protein provides insights into its biochemical properties, interactions with other keratins, and contributions to skin physiology. Additionally, KRT9 can serve as a potential biomarker for skin health and disease, and understanding its molecular mechanisms might lead to novel therapeutic strategies for treating keratinization disorders. Recombinant protein studies allow researchers to explore KRT9's structure-function relationships, assess its role in cellular processes, and evaluate its potential in regenerative medicine. As the field of dermatology advances, the characterization of KRT9 through recombinant techniques becomes increasingly relevant, providing valuable information that could shape future avenues of skin health research and interventions.
