Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
KIF12, or kinesin family member 12, is a motor protein that plays a crucial role in intracellular transport along microtubules, which are essential components of the cytoskeleton in eukaryotic cells. It is part of the kinesin superfamily, a group of proteins that utilize ATP hydrolysis to move cargoes, such as organelles and protein complexes, within cells. Research has indicated that KIF12 may be involved in critical cellular processes, including cell division and migration, making it a potential contributor to developmental biology and cancer research. Mutations or dysregulation of KIF12 have been associated with various diseases, highlighting its importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis. Given its functional relevance, the study of KIF12 recombinant protein allows researchers to explore its structure-function relationship, investigate its biochemical properties, and assess its role in cellular dynamics. By producing and purifying KIF12 in a controlled environment, scientists can conduct in vitro assays to decipher its motor activity, investigate interaction with various cargoes, and evaluate its potential as a target for therapeutic intervention in diseases related to cytoskeletal dysfunction. Overall, research on KIF12 recombinant protein encompasses a multidisciplinary approach, blending molecular biology, biochemistry, and cellular biology, thus contributing to the broader understanding of cellular mechanisms and potential avenues for medical advancements.
