Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
EDN1, or Endothelin-1, is a potent vasoconstrictor peptide that plays a crucial role in various physiological processes, including blood pressure regulation and cardiovascular function. It is predominantly produced by endothelial cells and acts through specific receptors, namely ET_A and ET_B, influencing vascular tone and cellular processes in both normal and pathological states. Research into EDN1 has intensified due to its association with numerous cardiovascular diseases, such as hypertension, heart failure, and pulmonary arterial hypertension. The dysregulation of EDN1 expression and its signaling pathways can contribute to endothelial dysfunction and vascular remodeling, making it a key target for therapeutic interventions. Recombinant EDN1 proteins have been developed for experimental studies to elucidate their biological functions, investigate receptor interactions, and explore their potential as drug candidates. By employing advanced molecular biology techniques, researchers aim to produce and characterize these recombinant proteins, facilitating a better understanding of their roles in health and disease. Additionally, this research provides insights into the pathways modulated by EDN1, potentially leading to novel therapeutic approaches for tackling cardiovascular diseases and improving patient outcomes.
