Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PCDHb16, a member of the protocadherin family, has garnered attention in recent research due to its potential role in neural development and synaptic regulation. Protocadherins are critical for cell-cell adhesion and play significant roles in the functionality of the nervous system. PCDHb16, in particular, is expressed in the brain and has been implicated in processes such as neural differentiation, axon guidance, and synaptic plasticity. Understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying PCDHb16’s function could provide insights into neurodevelopmental disorders and neurological diseases. Recent studies have focused on the recombinant production of PCDHb16 to investigate its structural properties and interactions with other neural proteins. By generating and characterizing this recombinant protein, researchers aim to elucidate its role in cell signaling pathways and its impact on neuronal connectivity. This research is essential for identifying PCDHb16's potential as a biomarker or therapeutic target in related conditions, highlighting the importance of protocadherins in neural network formation and maintenance. Such studies may ultimately contribute to the development of novel strategies for treating neurodevelopmental disorders and enhancing our understanding of brain function.
