Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
HSD17B11, or 17-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 11, is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in steroid metabolism, particularly in the conversion of androstenedione to testosterone. Its significance extends beyond basic biochemistry; alterations in its expression and activity have been implicated in various physiological and pathological processes, including endocrine disorders and reproductive health issues. Research on HSD17B11 recombinant proteins has gained attention due to their potential applications in therapeutic interventions and diagnostic tools. By producing HSD17B11 in a recombinant form, scientists aim to facilitate studies on its enzymatic mechanisms, assess its functional properties, and explore its interactions with various substrates and inhibitors. This research could lead to a deeper understanding of steroid-related diseases and metabolic disorders. Additionally, characterizing the recombinant protein allows for investigations into its structure-function relationship, paving the way for novel drug development targeting related pathways. As the field progresses, insights gained from HSD17B11 studies may contribute to advancements in personalized medicine, particularly in hormone-related disorders, thus highlighting the importance of continued exploration of this enzyme at both basic and translational levels.
