稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ICMT (Isoprenylcysteine carboxyl methyltransferase) is an essential enzyme involved in the post-translational modification of proteins, particularly those that have been modified with isoprenyl groups, such as farnesylated and geranylgeranylated proteins. This methylation process is crucial for the proper functioning and membrane localization of various signaling proteins, including Ras and Rho family members, which play significant roles in cell growth, differentiation, and oncogenesis. Given its pivotal role in cellular processes, ICMT has garnered considerable attention in cancer research, as dysregulation of its activity may contribute to tumorigenesis and metastasis. Additionally, therapies targeting ICMT are being explored as potential strategies to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells. Understanding the biochemical pathways and structural characteristics of ICMT can provide insights into its function and regulatory mechanisms, offering avenues for therapeutic interventions in diseases where protein mislocalization and hyperactivity contribute to pathology. Research into recombinant ICMT proteins aims to elucidate these mechanisms further and develop inhibitors or modulators that can effectively target ICMT in relevant disease contexts. This research area intersects molecular biology, biochemistry, and pharmacology, highlighting the enzyme's significance in both basic science and potential clinical applications.
