Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
HTR3A (5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 3A) is a key subunit of the ionotropic serotonin receptor, which plays a crucial role in mediating the effects of serotonin, a neurotransmitter implicated in various physiological processes and psychiatric disorders. The HTR3A receptor is unique among serotonin receptors as it forms a cation-selective channel, facilitating rapid synaptic transmission in the central and peripheral nervous systems. Research into HTR3A has garnered significant interest due to its involvement in conditions such as anxiety, depression, and schizophrenia, as well as its role in gastrointestinal function. Recombination techniques have allowed for the production of HTR3A recombinant proteins, enabling scientists to study its structure, function, and pharmacology in detail. Understanding the signaling pathways and mechanisms of HTR3A can lead to the development of targeted therapies that address serotonin-related disorders. Furthermore, the characterization of HTR3A receptors through recombinant proteins provides insights into receptor-ligand interactions, enabling the screening of novel drugs that can modulate receptor activity for therapeutic purposes. Overall, the study of HTR3A recombinant proteins is vital for elucidating the complexities of serotonergic signaling and for advancing approaches to treat related neurological and psychiatric conditions.
