Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The HSD3B2 protein, or 3β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 2, is an enzyme crucial for steroidogenesis, particularly in the adrenal glands, gonads, and placenta. It catalyzes the conversion of pregnenolone to progesterone and dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) to androstenedione, playing a vital role in the biosynthesis of sex steroids and corticosteroids. Mutations or deficiencies in the HSD3B2 gene can lead to steroidogenic enzyme deficiencies, resulting in a range of disorders, including adrenal crisis, ambiguous genitalia, and impaired sexual development. The study of recombinant HSD3B2 protein is significant for understanding its structure-function relationships, exploring enzyme kinetics, and investigating the implications of genetic variations. Additionally, recombinant HSD3B2 has potential applications in pharmaceutical research, including drug development for conditions related to steroid production imbalances. By producing this enzyme in a laboratory setting, researchers can create tools for studying its biological roles and developing targeted therapies for related endocrine disorders. This research not only enhances knowledge of steroidogenesis but also contributes to the broader field of endocrinology, potentially improving outcomes for individuals affected by related health issues.
