Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
HAAO (3-hydroxyanthranilic acid 2,3-dioxygenase) is an essential enzyme in the kynurenine pathway, which is a critical metabolic route for tryptophan catabolism. This pathway is significant due to its implications in neurobiology and immunology, influencing the synthesis of several bioactive compounds, including neurotransmitters and neuroprotective agents. Dysregulation of HAAO has been linked to various neurological disorders, including schizophrenia and mood disorders, making it a potential therapeutic target. The study of HAAO is further heightened by the increasing recognition of its role in modulating neuronal health and inflammation. Recent advancements in recombinant protein technology have enabled the production of HAAO for detailed structural and functional analyses, facilitating a deeper understanding of its enzymatic mechanisms and interactions with other biomolecules. By exploring the biochemistry of HAAO, researchers aim to develop innovative strategies for intervention in associated diseases, paving the way for novel treatments and enhancing our knowledge of tryptophan metabolism's impact on human health. This research not only enhances our fundamental understanding of metabolic pathways but also underscores the potential of HAAO as a biomarker for psychiatric conditions, highlighting its significance in both basic and applied science.
