Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GSK3B (Glycogen Synthase Kinase 3 Beta) is a serine/threonine kinase that plays a pivotal role in various cellular processes, including glycogen metabolism, cell differentiation, and apoptosis. It is implicated in several diseases, particularly in cancer, diabetes, and neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer's disease. The enzyme exists in two isoforms, GSK3A and GSK3B, with GSK3B being the more extensively studied variant due to its significant regulatory functions in the Wnt signaling pathway and insulin signaling. Elevated GSK3B activity has been linked to the phosphorylation of β-catenin, which leads to its degradation and thus negatively regulates Wnt signaling, a pathway crucial for cell proliferation and survival. Furthermore, GSK3B is a target for therapeutic intervention, as inhibiting its activity could reverse some pathological conditions associated with its overactivity. As a result, the development and study of recombinant GSK3B protein have garnered attention in both basic research and drug discovery. Understanding the structural and functional properties of GSK3B through recombinant techniques can facilitate the identification of potential inhibitors, enhancing our ability to develop effective treatments for GSK3B-related diseases. Furthermore, the use of recombinant GSK3B protein allows researchers to explore its interactions with various substrates and inhibitors in vitro, thereby providing insights into its regulatory mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets. This research not only aids in elucidating the biological functions of GSK3B but also contributes to the broader understanding of its role in disease pathology.
