Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of GLTP (glycolipid transfer protein) recombinant proteins has gained significant attention in recent years due to their crucial role in cellular lipid metabolism and membrane dynamics. GLTP is involved in the transport of glycosphingolipids between membrane compartments, a process essential for cell signaling, membrane biogenesis, and the maintenance of cellular lipid homeostasis. Dysregulation of lipid transport mechanisms can lead to various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and cancer. Researchers have focused on the structural and functional characterization of GLTP to better understand its mechanism of action and the implications of its activity in health and disease. The use of recombinant protein technology allows for the production of purified GLTP in adequate quantities, facilitating detailed biochemical and biophysical studies. These investigations are aimed at deciphering the protein's binding affinities, transport mechanisms, and conformational changes upon ligand binding. Additionally, the potential therapeutic applications of GLTP, such as developing modulators that can correct lipid transport deficiencies or targeting GLTP in cancer treatment, represent a burgeoning area of research. Overall, the exploration of GLTP recombinant proteins contributes to a deeper understanding of lipid biology and opens avenues for novel therapeutic strategies.
