Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Defensin beta 6 (Defb6) is a member of the defensin family of antimicrobial peptides, which play a crucial role in the innate immune response. It is predominantly expressed in epithelial tissues, particularly in the skin and mucosal surfaces, where it contributes to the first line of defense against pathogens. The study of Defb6 is significant due to its potential role in various inflammatory and infectious diseases, as well as its implications in wound healing and tissue repair. Recent advancements in recombinant protein technology have allowed for the production of Defb6 in sufficient quantities for detailed functional and structural studies. Investigating the properties of Defb6, including its antimicrobial activity, mechanism of action, and interactions with various cell types, is essential. This could lead to the development of novel therapeutic strategies for managing infections and enhancing the body's natural defenses. Additionally, understanding the regulation of Defb6 expression may provide insights into the pathogenesis of diseases where immune dysregulation is a factor. Consequently, research on recombinant Defb6 not only furthers our understanding of innate immunity but also holds promise for innovative approaches in clinical settings.
