Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
HIC1 (Hypermethylated in Cancer 1) is a transcriptional repressor and a member of the BTB/POZ (Bric-a-brac, Tramtrack, and Broad complex/Poz) domain family, playing a crucial role in tumor suppression and gene regulation. HIC1 has garnered significant attention due to its frequent hypermethylation and loss of expression in various cancers, including breast, colorectal, and prostate cancers. This epigenetic alteration suggests a pivotal role for HIC1 in oncogenesis, highlighting its potential as a biomarker for cancer diagnosis and prognosis. Moreover, HIC1 is involved in critical cellular processes such as cell cycle regulation, apoptosis, and differentiation. Studies have shown that restoration of HIC1 expression can inhibit tumor growth and metastasis, underscoring its importance in cancer therapy. The exploration of HIC1 recombinant protein has enabled researchers to better understand its functional dynamics, interactions with other proteins, and its role in tumor suppression pathways. This research is essential not only for delineating the molecular mechanisms underlying HIC1's tumor-suppressive functions but also for developing targeted therapies that may restore its activity in cancer cells, making HIC1 a promising target for innovative cancer treatments.
