  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

KRT85, or keratin 85, is a member of the keratin family, which plays a crucial role in the structural integrity and function of epithelial tissues. Keratins are fibrous proteins that form intermediate filaments, contributing to the mechanical resilience of cells. The study of KRT85 is particularly relevant in the context of skin health and various dermatological disorders. Research has indicated that mutations or aberrant expression of keratin proteins can lead to skin diseases, including epidermolysis bullosa and other keratinopathic disorders. Moreover, KRT85 has been implicated in cellular processes such as differentiation, proliferation, and response to stress, making it a potential biomarker for skin conditions. Understanding the function and regulation of KRT85 can provide insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying skin development and pathologies. As a result, recombinant KRT85 proteins have garnered attention for use in both basic research and potential therapeutic applications. By producing KRT85 through recombinant DNA technology, researchers can explore its biological properties more comprehensively, study its interactions with other cellular components, and investigate its role in skin regeneration and repair. These studies pave the way for innovative strategies in treating skin injuries and diseases, highlighting the importance of KRT85 in dermatological research. Overall, the exploration of KRT85 as a recombinant protein not only advances our understanding of keratin biology but also holds promise for future therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing skin health.
