Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
XPO5, or exportin 5, is a member of the karyopherin family, which plays a crucial role in nucleocytoplasmic transport by facilitating the export of specific RNA molecules and proteins from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. This protein is particularly significant due to its involvement in the transport of microRNAs, essential regulators of gene expression. The dysfunction of XPO5 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, where altered microRNA processing can lead to the dysregulation of key oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes. Research into the structure and function of XPO5 is vital for understanding its role in cellular processes and its potential as a therapeutic target. The study of recombinant XPO5 proteins has been instrumental in elucidating the mechanisms of RNA export, providing insights into its binding interactions and the conformational changes that occur during transport. By developing recombinant XPO5, researchers can investigate its activity in various cellular contexts, explore its interactions with RNA and other cellular factors, and assess its implications in health and disease. This research not only enhances our fundamental understanding of nucleocytoplasmic transport but also opens avenues for therapeutic interventions aimed at correcting the transport defects associated with XPO5 abnormalities. Overall, XPO5 stands as a pivotal protein in the field of molecular biology, warranting continued exploration to unveil its complex role in cellular function and its potential implications in disease mechanisms.
