Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MGST2 (Microsomal Glutathione S-Transferase 2) is a critical enzyme involved in detoxification processes within the body, primarily through its role in the conjugation of glutathione to various substrates, facilitating their excretion from cells. Research into MGST2 has gained attention due to its potential implications in numerous physiological and pathological conditions, including cancer, where altered expression levels may influence drug resistance and tumor progression. Additionally, MGST2 plays a significant role in protecting cells from oxidative stress and inflammation, linking it to various diseases, such as neurodegenerative disorders and cardiovascular diseases. The recombinant expression of MGST2 offers valuable opportunities for detailed structural and functional studies, enabling scientists to investigate its enzymatic mechanisms and interactions with other biomolecules. These studies are vital for understanding the enzyme's role in health and disease, and may pave the way for the development of novel therapeutic strategies targeting MGST2-related pathways. Researchers are particularly interested in elucidating the impact of genetic variations in the MGST2 gene on individual susceptibility to environmental toxins and pharmacological agents, which can have broad implications for personalized medicine. Overall, the characterization of MGST2 as a recombinant protein not only enhances the foundational knowledge of this enzyme but also contributes to advancements in drug development and therapeutic interventions.
