Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CALU, or calcium-activated lactoferrin, is a protein that has garnered interest in the field of biochemical research due to its potential roles in various physiological processes and its implications in health and disease. The study of CALU, particularly its recombinant forms, is prompted by the need to understand its functioning in cellular mechanisms, immune responses, and potential therapeutic applications. Recombinant protein technology allows researchers to produce CALU in a controlled manner, facilitating detailed studies on its structure, biological activity, and therapeutic potential. As a multifunctional protein, CALU is believed to play critical roles in modulating inflammation, enhancing immune responses, and acting as an antimicrobial agent. Investigating CALU's recombination can lead to insights into its interactions with other biomolecules and its overall impact on human health. Additionally, the development of CALU as a recombinant protein could pave the way for novel treatments or preventive strategies against infections and inflammatory diseases. This research not only enhances our understanding of CALU's biological significance but also positions it as a promising candidate for biotechnological applications in health care and disease management.
