  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Bone morphogenetic protein 6 (BMP6) is a member of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) superfamily, playing a crucial role in various biological processes, including bone formation, embryonic development, and tissue homeostasis. Its unique ability to induce osteogenic differentiation has garnered significant interest in both basic and applied research, particularly in the fields of regenerative medicine and orthopedics. BMP6 has been shown to enhance the proliferation and differentiation of osteoblasts, making it a potential candidate for biomaterials in bone repair and regeneration therapies. Recent studies have also indicated that BMP6 might be involved in the regulation of iron metabolism and inflammatory responses, suggesting its broader implications in various pathological conditions. The development and characterization of recombinant BMP6 proteins are vital for elucidating their molecular functions and exploring therapeutic applications. Utilizing advanced biotechnological methods, researchers are able to produce high-yield, biologically active recombinant BMP6, facilitating detailed studies of its signaling pathways and interactions. As the understanding of BMP6's roles in cellular processes deepens, it holds promise for innovative treatments targeting bone-related diseases, metabolic disorders, and tissue engineering strategies. The ongoing research into BMP6 and its recombinant forms represents a pivotal step towards harnessing its potential in enhancing bone healing and overall tissue regeneration.
