简介
The leptin R/LEPR protein is a receptor protein that binds to the hormone leptin. It plays a vital role in regulating energy balance and body weight. FGFR-4 Protein, Human (HEK293, Fc) is the recombinant human-derived FGFR-4 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-hFc labeled tag.

Biological Activity
1. Measured by its ability to inhibit FGF acidic (aFGF / FGF1) dependent proliferation of Balb/c3T3 mouse embryonic fibroblasts and the ED50 is typically 4-25 ng/mL. 2. Measured by its ability to inhibit FGF acidic-dependent proliferation of NIH-3T3 mouse fibroblast cells. The ED50 of this effect is 2.694 ng/mL in the presence of 1ng/mL FGF-1, corresponding to a specific activity is 3.71×105 units/mg. Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Fibroblast growth factor receptor 4 (FGFR-4) is a pivotal member of the fibroblast growth factor receptor family, involved in various physiological processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. Research has demonstrated that FGFR-4 plays a critical role in several pathological conditions, including cancer, where its aberrant expression is linked to tumor progression and metastatic potential. Understanding the structural and functional dynamics of FGFR-4 has become essential for developing targeted therapies against cancers associated with its dysregulation. Recombinant FGFR-4 proteins are utilized in studies to elucidate the receptor's signaling mechanisms, interactions with ligands, and downstream effectors. These proteins can also aid in high-throughput screening for novel inhibitors that may serve as potential therapeutic agents. Moreover, FGFR-4 is implicated in muscle development and repair, highlighting its importance beyond oncology. By producing and characterizing FGFR-4 recombinant proteins, researchers aim to gain insights into its biological roles and therapeutic targeting, paving the way for innovative treatment strategies for diseases linked to FGFR-4 dysregulation.
