Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CSPG4, also known as MCSP (Melanoma-associated Chondroitin Sulfate Proteoglycan), is a chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan primarily expressed in various types of tissues, including normal and malignant cells, especially in melanoma. Its expression is associated with tumor progression and metastasis, making it a significant target for cancer research. CSPG4 plays a crucial role in cell adhesion, migration, and proliferation through its interactions with a variety of extracellular matrix components and growth factors. Research has shown that CSPG4 is upregulated in malignant cells, which contributes to the aggressive behavior of tumors. The development of recombinant CSPG4/MCSP protein allows for in-depth studies of its structural and functional characteristics, providing insights into its role in cancer biology. Additionally, the recombinant protein can be utilized to generate specific antibodies, facilitating the detection of CSPG4 in clinical samples. These advancements not only enhance our understanding of CSPG4's mechanisms in tumorigenesis but also pave the way for potential therapeutic interventions targeting CSPG4/MCSP in cancer treatment. Overall, the study of CSPG4/MCSP represents a promising area in cancer research, with implications for diagnostic and therapeutic strategies against melanoma and possibly other malignancies.
