简介
The EGFR protein is a receptor tyrosine kinase that can bind to a variety of ligands, such as EGF, TGFA, AREG, epigen, BTC, epiregulin, and HBEGF, to initiate signaling cascades that mediate cellular responses. This involves receptor dimerization, autophosphorylation and recruitment of adapter proteins such as GRB2, activating downstream pathways such as RAS-RAF-MEK-ERK, PI3-kinase-AKT, PLCgamma-PKC and STAT. EGFR Protein, Human (FITC, HEK293, His-Avi) is the recombinant human-derived EGFR protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-Avi, C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) is a pivotal protein in cellular signaling pathways related to cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival, making it a critical player in various cancers, particularly non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The abnormal activation of EGFR due to mutations or overexpression can lead to uncontrolled cell growth and tumor development. This has spurred extensive research into EGFR-targeted therapies, such as monoclonal antibodies and tyrosine kinase inhibitors, improving treatment outcomes for many patients. Furthermore, the study of recombinant EGFR protein has gained prominence in both basic and clinical research, allowing for the exploration of its structure-function relationship, signaling mechanisms, and interaction with potential therapeutic agents. Recombinant EGFR proteins serve as valuable tools in drug development, enabling high-throughput screening of small molecules and the investigation of resistance mechanisms in therapy. Understanding the nuances of EGFR biology through the lens of recombinant proteins can enhance the design of novel therapeutics and combination strategies, ultimately contributing to more effective cancer treatments and improved patient survival rates.
