Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GALNT6 (polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 6) is a member of the UDP-galactose glycosyltransferase family, primarily involved in the initiation of O-glycosylation. This post-translational modification plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including cell adhesion, signal transduction, and the regulation of protein stability. Emerging evidence suggests that GALNT6 is implicated in several diseases, particularly cancers, where its expression levels can influence tumor progression and metastasis. Understanding the function and regulatory mechanisms of GALNT6 is vital for elucidating its role in cellular physiology and pathology. Recent studies have focused on the expression and purification of recombinant GALNT6 proteins to facilitate in vitro analyses of their enzymatic activity and substrate specificity. By employing techniques such as gene cloning and expression in suitable host systems, researchers aim to produce sufficient quantities of active GALNT6. This recombinant protein can then be utilized to investigate its interactions with various glycopeptides, providing insights into its biological significance and potential as a therapeutic target. Additionally, exploring the structural features of GALNT6 through methods like X-ray crystallography or NMR spectroscopy could further enhance our understanding of its enzymatic mechanisms and aid in the development of inhibitors or modulators for clinical applications. Overall, the research on GALNT6 recombinant protein stands at the intersection of glycobiology and cancer biology, highlighting its potential impact on therapeutic strategies.
